AM/DM - Instrument Panel and Console Area

As a Design & Development Engineer in the automotive industry, your role will involve working on the Dashboard (I/P) & Console automotive parts along with the Automotive interiors decorative parts. You will be responsible for the CAE analysis of Interior parts stiffness, Parts & Vehicle level testing, and ensuring compliance with Regulation Checks such as ECE -R21. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing & Developing Dashboard (I/P) & Console automotive parts and interior decorative parts as per program schedule - Conducting CAE analysis of Interior parts stiffness and Parts & Vehicle level testing - Monitoring Cost & Weight at Part & Sub-System level - Planning countermeasures based on Design/Quality Reviews, Line Feedback & Testing - Coordinating with business partners for the development of parts Your Technical Competencies should include experience in Design or Development of Dashboard (I/P) Parts, Interior Decorative parts, or Console parts. You should have an understanding of Manufacturing processes, Costing Functions, and hands-on experience in testing at part & vehicle level. Specific Expertise required for this role includes hands-on experience with CAD Modeling software, preferably Unigraphics. In terms of Behavioral Competencies, you are expected to have a Positive attitude, be Proactive, an Effective team player, possess Good communication, analytical, and presentation skills, and stay updated with industry trends to apply them in your work area. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Full Time B.E / B. Tech degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks throughout your education.
