Job Description

As an Ambulance Driver, your role involves inspecting the ambulance before each shift to ensure it is in optimal working condition. This includes checking the fuel, oil, transmission fluid, wiper fluid, and coolant, and promptly reporting any necessary repairs. Additionally, you will be responsible for checking the first aid and medical supplies inventory levels before each shift and making sure the ambulance is well-stocked. Your key responsibilities will include assisting patients onto gurneys, loading them into the ambulance, and driving the ambulance safely and efficiently to transport patients to the hospital. You will need to provide first aid or administer oxygen if the patient requires care before reaching the hospital. It is important to sanitize the ambulance regularly and safely dispose of any medical waste and soiled linens. Moreover, you will be required to maintain a detailed driving log with daily entries, noting patients" names and addresses, travel times, mileage, and services performed. In the event of an accident, you must report the facts to medical personnel and police officers as necessary. Qualifications required for this position include a Higher Secondary (12th Pass) education, with at least 2 years of driving experience. Proficiency in Malayalam language is preferred for effective communication with patients and colleagues. The work location is in person.
