As an Assistant Manager-Tax in Mumbai, Chembur East, your primary role will be to manage the tax function for project entities, including holding companies engaged in the business of smart meter concessions. You will be responsible for coordinating with consultants for the preparation of corporate tax returns, TDS returns, and GST returns (preferred), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be required to coordinate with off-roll teams from Big 4 firms, provide necessary guidance, and review their deliverables with attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the tax function for project entities, including holding companies engaged in the business of smart meter concessions. - Coordinate with consultants for the preparation of corporate tax returns, TDS returns, and GST returns. - Provide necessary guidance to off-roll teams from Big 4 firms and review their deliverables with attention to detail. - Ensure compliance with developed processes, SOPs, and documentary controls. - Manage tax audit and transfer pricing audits. - Handle notices and assessments from tax authorities alongside consultants. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, legal, and senior management. Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of experience. - Strong proficiency in direct and indirect tax knowledge; knowledge of Tally Prime is an added advantage. - Good communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and management. - Passion for learning, high energy, and commitment are essential for this role.
