About the Role

Algorithmic Trading Strategy Tester

Role & responsibilities

Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test cases for algorithmic trading strategies across multiple asset classes.
Evaluate trading algorithms for performance, stability, latency, and rule compliance in both backtesting and simulated environments.
Work closely with Quant Developers, Data Scientists, and Traders to understand strategy logic and test objectives.
Design and run scenario-based stress tests to assess robustness and market adaptability.
Identify and report coding errors, data inconsistencies, or performance anomalies in strategy behavior.
Analyze test data, generate performance metrics, and recommend necessary refinements.
Automate regression testing for new or updated strategies to ensure version consistency.
Maintain detailed test documentation and help onboard new strategies into production environments.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in algorithmic trading, quantitative testing, or financial systems quality assurance.
Solid understanding of trading workflows, order execution models, and market microstructure.
Familiarity with market data feeds (FIX/REST/WebSocket) and execution systems is a plus.
Excellent communication and documentation skills with a structured testing mindset.
