Job Title: Merchandising Head Jewelry Industry Location: Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh Reporting to: Director Experience Required: 12–20 years in merchandising, preferably in jewelry Industry Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Fashion Merchandising, Business Management, or related field Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandising Head to lead the merchandising strategy and operations for our jewelry business. This role requires a strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, inventory planning, and product lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving product success, optimizing assortments, and maximizing profitability across all sales channels (retail, online, wholesale). Key Responsibilities: 1. Merchandising Strategy & Planning Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies aligned with business goals and brand positioning. Lead seasonal range planning and category-wise assortment strategy based on sales trends, market analysis, and customer insights. Collaborate with design, marketing, and retail teams to ensure cohesive product stories and launches. 2. Product Lifecycle Management Own end-to-end product lifecycle — from concept to end-of-season markdowns. Conduct regular product performance reviews and implement corrective actions. Ensure a balanced product mix in terms of pricing, design, and materials. 3. Inventory Management & Forecasting Plan inventory purchases and allocation to maintain optimal stock levels across stores and online channels. Market & Trend Analysis Analyze sales data, competitor activity, and market trends to identify new opportunities and guide future collections. Conduct regular store visits and interact with retail teams for ground-level insights. 5. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of merchandisers and planners. Coordinate with internal departments including design, sourcing, retail operations, and digital commerce. 6. Reporting & Analysis Develop and present periodic merchandising reports to senior leadership. Track key KPIs: sell-through rates, GMROI, stock turn, markdowns, and category performance. Role Overview: As a Senior Unit HR, you will be responsible for managing all HR functions across multiple stores. You will play a vital role in implementing HR practices related to recruitment, onboarding, compliance, engagement, and grievance handling. The individual will act as the key HR representative for the store and a strategic partner to the store manager in driving people-centric initiatives aligned with business goals. Role & responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manages end-to-end recruitment for frontline roles such as sales staff, cashier, and support personnel. Conducts initial screening interviews and supports final selection in collaboration with Cluster HR. Handles joining formalities, documentation, and conducts store-level induction for new employees. Attendance & Leave Management Monitors employee attendance and ensures adherence to shift rosters and store coverage. Coordinates with the payroll and HR operations team for timely and accurate attendance reconciliation. HR Operations & Documentation Maintains complete and accurate employee records including personal files, offer letters, and uniform logs. Prepares and shares store-level HR reports such as headcount, attrition, and attendance on a regular basis. Issues HR letters including confirmations, transfers, and relieving documentation. Solid understanding of retail HR operations and labor law compliance . Employee Engagement & Communication Drives employee engagement activities such as celebrations, motivational initiatives, and team-building events. Preferred candidate profile Postgraduate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration. 3 to 7 years of experience in HR, preferably in retail, jewelry sectors . Prior experience in independently managing HR operations at the store/unit level is essential.
