AIS Fund Accounting - Emerging Lead

As a Senior Associate for Alternative Investment Services at State Street, you will be a part of a team responsible for end-to-end accounting and valuations of Private Equity & Hedge Funds for Limited Partners. Your primary responsibilities and required skill sets include: - Operational Skill Sets: - With a minimum of 4 years of experience in Alternative ops, you will focus on meeting SLAs with regards to quality and timeliness for assigned clients. - You should act as an auditor for the processors under you and work on continuous process improvements with the reporting manager. - Collaboration with global teams and acting as a point of contact for client issues and escalations assigned to you will be essential. - You will participate in client calls and provide solutions along with other internal teams during US hours. - Functional Skill Set: - Your strong analytical skills will be crucial for manipulating large sets of data related to Private Equity & Hedge Funds valuations. - You will interpret PCAPs, ILPAs, Notices & LODs to track capital activities/cash flows and resolve cash breaks within 30 days. - Validating controls, resolving errors, coaching processors during fund audits, and understanding Alternative Investments and accounting principles are key aspects of your role. - Proficiency in Python tools for managing complex data sets is required. - Risk Management: - You will execute controls, assess issues, and identify control gaps, supporting your manager in evaluating and remediating Operational Incidents. Educational Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Management is required, along with proficiency in Python tools.
