AI Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities

AI Architecture & Solution Design

• Design end-to-end

  AI solution architectures

  , including data ingestion, model development, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Build

  robust, scalable, and production-grade AI services

  aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Define architectural patterns and reference architectures for AI, ML, and automation use cases
  
• Ensure seamless integration of AI solutions with existing enterprise systems and platforms
  

Technical Leadership & Guidance

• Provide architectural guidance to data scientists, ML engineers, and development teams
  
• Review solution designs and ensure alignment with AI best practices, performance, scalability, and maintainability
  
• Contribute hands-on when needed through

  light coding, prototyping, or proof-of-concept development

• Guide teams on modern

  data stacks, ML platforms, and AI tooling

Security, Ethics & Governance

• Ensure

  security, privacy, and compliance

  of AI solutions across data, models, and infrastructure
• Address

  ethical considerations in AI

  , including fairness, transparency, explainability, and responsible AI usage
• Define governance frameworks, guardrails, and quality standards for AI development and deployment
  
• Work closely with security, legal, and compliance teams to mitigate AI-related risks
  

Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory

• Engage with business leaders and stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and prioritize use cases
  
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language
  
• Act as a trusted advisor in a

  global, cross-functional, and multicultural environment

• Support the development of AI strategies and roadmaps aligned with Sandviks business objectives
  

Capability Building & Enablement

• Help build and scale Sandvik’s AI capabilities, platforms, and best practices
  
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and upskilling of internal teams
  
• Support innovation initiatives, pilots, and experimentation in AI and automation
  
• Enable faster adoption of AI across the organization by simplifying and standardizing solution approaches
  

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 12–18 years of overall experience in technology, data, or software engineering
  
• Minimum

  4+ years of experience in an AI Solution Architect or similar senior architecture role

• Strong background in

  AI, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics

• Experience working with

  modern data and AI stacks

  in enterprise environments

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of AI/ML architectures, data pipelines, and model lifecycle management
  
• Hands-on coding background with the ability to perform

  light coding or prototyping

• Experience building and deploying

  robust AI services

• Knowledge of modern data platforms, cloud-based AI services, and MLOps practices
  
• Strong understanding of

  security principles

  , data protection, and privacy in AI systems
• Familiarity with responsible AI, explainable AI, and ethical AI frameworks

Qualifications

• Master’s degree

  in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong academic and professional background in
