AI Risk Expert - Senior Engineer, AVP

Role Overview: You will be joining the Deutsche India team as an AI Risk Expert, responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the development, deployment, and use of Artificial Intelligence within the Private Bank. Your role will involve ensuring compliance, ethicality, and trustworthiness of AI initiatives, safeguarding the bank against potential financial, reputational, and operational risks. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the interpretation and implementation of evolving AI regulations, including the EU AI Act, and other relevant frameworks within the bank's AI initiatives. - Develop, implement, and oversee robust Model Risk Management frameworks specifically for AI and Machine Learning models. - Integrate AI-related risks into the bank's broader Non-Financial Risk Management framework. - Ensure compliance with data protection regulations like GDPR and address concerns related to data residency and cross-border data transfers. - Champion principles of Responsible AI, focusing on fairness, transparency, accountability, and explainability. - Conduct risk assessments of AI applications tailored to the financial services industry. - Develop clear reports on AI-related risks, compliance status, and mitigation strategies. - Contribute to the development of internal policies for the ethical and secure use of AI. - Support internal and external audits related to AI risk. - Continuously monitor the evolving landscape of AI technologies and associated risks. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Risk Management, Law, or related discipline. - 8+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or similar roles within the financial services industry. - In-depth knowledge of key AI and data privacy regulations. - Strong understanding and experience in implementing Model Risk Management frameworks. - Background in Non-Financial Risk Management principles. - Demonstrated understanding and application of Responsible AI principles. - Experience with data governance and managing data residency requirements. - Comprehensive understanding of banking risks and their relationship with AI. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
