Job Summary:

The Principal AI Engineer will lead Generative AI vision, strategy, and architecture. They will architect, build, and improve GenAI applications, automate ML pipelines, and establish reusable frameworks. The role involves building guardrails, compliance rules, and promoting good software engineering practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Generative AI vision, strategy, and architecture
Architect, build, maintain, and improve GenAI applications and underlying systems
Automate machine learning pipelines, monitor performance and costs
Optimize models using techniques such as LoRA/QLoRA
Establish reusable frameworks to streamline model building, deployment and monitoring
Incorporate monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting mechanisms
Build guardrails, compliance rules and oversight workflows into GenAI application platform
Establish approval chains for model updates and staged rollout for production releases
Develop templates, guides and sandbox environments for onboarding new contributors
Ensure development of user-facing applications is easy and safe
Enforce rigorous validation testing before publishing user-generated models
Implement clear peer review process of applications
Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices

Must Have Skills

Generative AI and LLM technologies
ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning)
Hugging Face and pretrained transformer models
Model optimization techniques (LoRA/QLoRA)
ML pipeline automation and deployment
GPU/CPU model training and implementation
GCP/AWS/Azure
