Role Overview:

Assistant General Manager MEP Projects

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead complete MEP planning, scheduling, and execution for corporate interior fit-out projects.
  • Develop project execution strategies, resource plans, and timelines for multiple sites.
  • Ensure all MEP activities are aligned with project specifications, statutory requirements, and client expectations.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with internal teams including Design, PMC, Architects, and QS.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and resolve technical or execution-related challenges proactively.

Technical Oversight

  • Review and validate technical drawings, BOQs, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and quality benchmarks.
  • Provide technical guidance to site teams and ensure proper installation of all MEP components.

Monitoring, Reporting & Control

  • Track project progress, site readiness, and milestone achievements.
  • Oversee cost control, material management, and vendor billing verification.
  • Prepare execution reports, risk assessments, and escalation plans as required.
  • Ensure timely project closure, snag rectification, testing & commissioning, and smooth handover.

Team Management

  • Lead and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractor teams.
  • Plan manpower allocation across sites and ensure adherence to productivity and quality standards.
  • Drive a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelors Degree in

    Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

    (preferred).
  • 8+ years

    of experience in MEP execution for corporate interior or commercial fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of

    HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems

    .
  • Proven ability to manage

    multiple projects simultaneously

    .
  • Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and coordination skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with hands-on site management experience.
  • Good understanding of project cost control, documentation, and quality systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
