About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and driven Sourcing cum Procurement Manager to lead procurement and supplier development for our eCommerce brand focused on home textiles (e.g., pillow fabrics, sleepwear) and home supplies (e.g., tissue paper, kitchen towels, garbage packaging). The ideal candidate will have strong sourcing expertise, especially in China and Southeast Asia , along with a proven track record in New Product Development (NPD) and managing the entire sourcing lifecycle from idea to delivery. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Vendor Development Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors for home textiles and home consumables both domestic and international (esp. China). Source raw materials and finished goods such as microfiber/polycotton fabrics, non-woven materials, paper products, PE/LD garbage bags, etc. Develop a robust supply base for cost-effective and quality sourcing. Procurement & Order Management Plan and manage the procurement cycle – PO creation, order tracking, delivery timelines, and vendor payments. Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams for stock replenishment and demand forecasting. Maintain optimal inventory levels without overstocking or stockouts. New Product Development (NPD) Collaborate with Product & Design teams to convert product ideas into samples and production-ready SKUs. Source and develop new materials, finishes, and packaging based on market and trend analysis. Conduct competitive benchmarking and feasibility checks (MOQ, cost, import feasibility, etc.). China & Overseas Sourcing Identify and manage suppliers from China via platforms like Alibaba, 1688, Canton Fair, etc. Manage end-to-end sourcing including sample coordination, quality checks, import documentation, and freight planning. Develop alternate sourcing hubs (e.g., Vietnam, Bangladesh) to mitigate supply chain risks. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure product compliance with local regulatory standards (packaging, labeling, health & hygiene). Coordinate third-party quality inspections and maintain product specifications and QC reports. Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and vendor evaluations. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Textile Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred. 5–8 years of experience in sourcing/procurement in home textiles , home consumables , or D2C/eCommerce brands. Strong exposure to China sourcing and familiarity with import procedures, documentation, and Incoterms. Proven experience in New Product Development and fast-paced product launches. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficient with tools like Excel, ERP platforms (Tally, Zoho, SAP, etc.), and sourcing platforms (Alibaba, 1688). Ability to travel for vendor visits and trade fairs (domestic and international). Nice to Have: Mandarin language skills or experience working with Chinese-speaking suppliers.
