WPP, our parent company, is a creative transformation firm dedicated to building better futures through the power of creativity. With a global network of talented individuals, WPP operates in over 100 countries and is a leader in marketing services with strong AI, data, and technology capabilities. We are currently seeking an Agentic Architecture Lead to drive the design and evolution of architectural foundations for agentic systems - intelligent, goal-driven agents capable of autonomous decision-making and collaboration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating scalable, modular, and adaptive architectures that facilitate multi-agent coordination, autonomy, and integration in complex environments. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and evolution of agentic system architectures for distributed, intelligent agents. - Define standards, principles, and patterns for agent autonomy, communication, and coordination. - Collaborate cross-functionally with AI/ML, product, infrastructure, and security teams. - Architect frameworks to support multi-agent orchestration, goal alignment, memory, and reflection. - Establish best practices for safe, explainable, and trustworthy agent behavior. - Guide teams in integrating LLMs, symbolic reasoning, and RL/ML pipelines into agent systems. - Ensure the architecture supports scalability, extensibility, and performance in real-time environments. - Contribute to internal tools that monitor and optimize agentic behavior and system health. - Provide architectural mentorship to engineering teams and review critical design decisions. Requirements: Must-Have: - 8+ years in software architecture, including 3+ in autonomous systems, AI agents, or similar. - Strong experience with multi-agent systems, LLM integration, or cognitive architectures. - Expertise in designing event-driven, service-oriented, or microservice architectures. - Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Rust). - Strong communication and leadership skills with a systems thinking mindset. Nice-to-Have: - Knowledge of agent simulation environments, e.g., OpenAI Gym, Unity ML-Agents. - Familiarity with concepts like Theory of Mind, recursive self-improvement, or agent modeling. - Experience with knowledge graphs, embeddings, vector databases, and memory architectures. - Exposure to safe AGI alignment or human-AI interaction frameworks. Academic Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field required. - Masters degree or Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Machine Learning, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline preferred. - Proven academic or research exposure to autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, or intelligent architectures is a strong advantage. WPP is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity. We value diversity and provide equal opportunities for all individuals to progress in their careers.,
