Job Description

Role Overview: As an Advisor in Software Development Engineering at Fiserv, your role involves a variety of management activities and enhancements to ensure the smooth functioning of mission-critical applications. You will be responsible for managing incident, change, and release activities for mission-critical applications, handling deployment, redeployment, and upgrades for Commercial Center, enhancing alerts and monitoring capabilities using tools like Moogsoft, Splunk, and Dynatrace, collaborating with other developers and engineers to build and maintain a scalable continuous build and deployment pipeline, troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues, identifying potential points of failure in applications and infrastructure, and implementing improvements. Additionally, you will automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Managing incident, change, and release activities for mission-critical applications. - Handling deployment, redeployment, and upgrades for Commercial Center. - Enhancing alerts and monitoring capabilities using tools like Moogsoft, Splunk, and Dynatrace. - Collaborating with other developers and engineers to build and maintain a scalable continuous build and deployment pipeline. - Troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues, working closely with the development team to resolve them efficiently. - Identifying potential points of failure in applications and infrastructure and implementing improvements. - Automating repetitive tasks to reduce manual efforts. Qualifications Required: - A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field. - 5-10 years of overall experience. - Experience with ETL tools like Talend, AWS, Control M, Linux, SQL, Hadoop, databases, and middleware technologies. - Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and Moogsoft. - The ability to analyze requirements and translate them into automation solutions. - Experience with modern scripting languages like Python and basic knowledge of AI. - Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline creation and automation. - Flexibility to work shifts or weekends based on business demands.
