Advanced Software Engineer

As a software developer at Siemens EDA in Noida, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, impacting the development of electronic products globally. Your role will involve software development in C/C++ for the Tessent family of products, focusing on data structures and algorithms for DFT insertion. You will work on data-models representing RTL/netlist for design representation, extracting connectivity within design networks, and design editing for DFT insertion. Additionally, you will adapt data-models and insertion algorithms for low power, with an understanding of UPF/CPF being advantageous. Knowledge of lex/yacc software will also be beneficial for software development activities. You will collaborate with a diverse team of young and senior professionals dedicated to enhancing the Tessent product line. Key Responsibilities: - Software development in C/C++ for the Tessent family of products - Working on data models, design representation, connectivity extraction, and design editing for DFT insertion - Adapting data models and insertion algorithms for low power, with an understanding of UPF/CPF - Collaboration with a team of professionals for the enhancement of the Tessent product line Required Qualifications: - Graduates or Postgraduates (Bachelors/Masters) in EEE, ECE, or Computer Science (CS) from reputed engineering colleges - Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with experience in EDA being desirable - Strong understanding of C/C++ languages, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms - Excellent programming skills in C/C++ on UNIX and/or LINUX platforms - Understanding of digital logic, gate-level design, and hardware fundamentals - Hands-on experience with HDL languages (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog) and exposure to UPF/CPF power formats - Proven experience in analyzer/compiler development, with knowledge of flex/bison being a plus - Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration across multifunctional engineering teams Good to have: - Background in EDA toolchains, semiconductor design flows, or power formats (UPF/CPF) - Practical experience using flex/bison for lexer/parser generation - Analytical, abstraction, and interpersonal skills for crafting solutions for sophisticated systems - Ability to work effectively in multi-functional teams to resolve customer issues Siemens is a global company with over 377,000 employees in more than 200 countries, dedicated to building a better future.
