Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Manager)

Position Summary:

The Advanced Manufacturing Manager is responsible for executing the manufacturing

roadmap development of the equipment, design specifications, setup reviews, and new

control strategies. Lead and ensure that new equipment purchases are specified,

sourced, qualified, and properly transitioned into mass production, meeting IGSS and

customer requirements and timing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads advanced manufacturing Process by developing and implementing new

processes into manufacturing facilities.

• Manages the design, development, and validation of new equipment and

manufacturing processes, develops/releases successful projects.

• Improving manufacturing methods and maximizes efficiency by analysing layout

of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work force utilization.

• Purchase/arranges production equipment, materials, and parts based on

product specifications, develops/implements product quality standards, and

estimates resource requirements, workload assignment, production times and

schedule for manufacturing processes.

• Significant project management experience, Robotics knowledge, experience

with lean manufacturing. Knowledge in machine design or contracting with

machine designers and current capital equipment improvements.

• Lead all new Program Capital Expenditures to include equipment / tooling /

infrastructure.

• Manage capital expenditure (capex) budgeting, allocation, recording, monitoring,

and optimization.

• Establishes and follows-up on full project implementation (concept, feasibility,

design, try-out, launch, buy-off, prototype programs, ) and is responsible for

project timing, quality and cost.

• Coordinates pre-production activities with Operations to ensure assembly builds

are carried out to meet program deliverables.

• Develop and update Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, Standard Work,

PFMEA and drive RPN reduction.

• Preparation, documentation and participation of IATF 16949 and VDA6.3 Quality

standards

• Leads an active, internal & global technical network.
• Participate in product cost reductions for manufacturing to support annual price

reduction efforts.

• Support Project Lead and plant ME, DFM/A activities during product

development.

• Must have a solid working knowledge of DFx/DFM/DFA and be able to read and

interpret engineering drawings (GD&T).

• Responsible for review and approve PFMEA, DFMEA, PPAPs, and Standard

Operating Procedures SOP and ensure that manufacturing and operations

comply with.

• Knowledge on SPC and MSA tools, Preparation of Process capability analysis -

Cp & Cpk ,Pp & Ppk ,Cm & Cmk .

• Writes/revises User Requirement Specs, Functional Requirement, Design Specs,

Qualifications, etc.

• Supports Factory and Site Acceptance Tests, Machinability Studies, and

validation protocols.

• Hands-on support of new products and new process launches.
• Lead a function focused on the development of the Production assembly

methods, processes, and equipment.

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and methods to

improve manufacturing efficiency and capability

• Utilize of software such as AutoCAD,3D model to Prepare & Evaluate assembly

line processes.

• Analyse Assembly process and products to identify bottlenecks, optimize

workflow, and improve overall efficiency.

• Conduct value stream mapping and process analysis to identify opportunities for

improvement.

• Optimize people and materials flow, area utilization, and workstation de-sign to

enhance efficiency and productivity.

• Lead initiatives to improve overall productivity and efficiency within the

manufacturing environment.

• Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by

appropriate data analysis.

Qualifications for the role:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field). Masters degree

preferred.

• Minimum 12-15 years of hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing,

layout development, simulation, or related fields of digitalization.

• Knowledge of Industry 4.O and strong experience in layout development and

optimization required.

• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, 3D Modelling software, Microsoft tools -Excel,

word & PPT.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to define business priorities and set

actionable goals

• Should have strong Leadership qualities to fosters a positive culture, provides

direction ,inspire, resolve disputes and delegating task to a team

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous

improvement, ability to think big, act small, and scale fast.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead change initiatives.

• Proven success managing medium and large-scale projects from concept

development through successful implementation.
