Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Good Manufacturing background in Stamping (Progressive, Inlay), Fabrication (Turret press, Laser, Welding, metal forming techniques), Plastics injection moulding(Thermoset & Thermo), Rubber molding (Compression, LSR, Rubber to metal), Insert molding & Thermoforming

Sound knowledge in Nesting development for stamped & formed sheet metal and for Injection & Compression mold parts

Hands-on experience with cost estimation/reduction techniques (DFA, DFM), tools (Siemens, aPriori, DFMAetc) & processes for mechanical, electrical and electronic parts/assemblies. Ability to analyze various cost scenarios is an added advantage.

Exposure to castings & electrical products will be an added advantage.

Good Automotive industry background.

Have good understanding on Global Economics Data

Has good Sourcing experience, Techno commercial, Global business understanding.

Previous part manufacturing and assembly experience is highly desired.

Proficient with either Pro Engineer software or at least CAD software

Ability to identify and deploy process improvements

Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively

Communicate project status and program needs across different levels of the organization and different operating environments

In-depth understanding of manufacturing process of mechanical parts. Knowledge on electrical and electronics parts is an added advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

Tool design and industry background like NTTF, CIPET, GTTC and shop floor experience.

The cost estimates will be used to drive strategic decisions related to

Product pricing,
Financial plan input,
Sourcing decisions, and Negotiations with suppliers.
