Admission Executive - Hospital

Role & responsibilities Patient Admission Coordination : Assist patients and attendants with the admission process. Coordinate with treating consultants and departments to confirm admission details. Allocate appropriate beds based on patient's condition and consultant instructions (ward/semi-private/private/ICU, etc.). Maintain updated records of bed availability and occupancy. Pre-Admission Counselling : Provide detailed information about the hospitals admission policies, room categories, billing estimates, and necessary documents. Explain hospital rules, visitation guidelines, and patient rights/responsibilities. Counsel patients regarding insurance or third-party payment processes, if applicable. Documentation & Compliance : Ensure accurate and complete documentation as per NABH guidelines. Collect and verify necessary documents (ID proof, insurance details, referral notes, etc.). Maintain confidentiality and data security in handling patient records. Billing & Financial Counselling : Provide cost estimates for planned procedures or admissions. Liaise with the billing department to explain charges to patients and attendants. Educate patients on available packages or corporate schemes, if any. Coordination & Communication : Coordinate with clinical, nursing, housekeeping, and other support teams for seamless admission and transfer processes. Serve as a point of contact for patient queries during the admission phase. Facilitate emergency or priority admissions in collaboration with emergency and triage teams. Customer Service : Maintain a courteous, empathetic, and professional attitude at all times. Resolve concerns of patients or attendants promptly and escalate issues when needed. Take feedback and contribute to improving the admission experience. Preferred candidate profile Candidate with 4 to 5 years of experience in admission counselling.
