An Admission Counselor in a school plays a crucial role in assisting prospective students and their families throughout the admissions process. This role involves a combination of administrative tasks, communication, and interpersonal skills. The candidate should be proficient in meeting prospective parents, handling all their queries related to the school, and converting them to admissions for the school. They should be able to generate new admissions by preparing marketing strategies and implementing them in coordination with the respective teams. They will manage the admission application process, including receiving, reviewing, and processing applications, ensuring that all required documents and fees are submitted correctly and on time. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and documentation related to applicants, including academic transcripts, recommendation letters, and other relevant information. The Admission Counselor will assist in organizing and participating in admissions events such as open houses, information sessions, and campus tours to showcase the school to prospective students and their families. They will communicate admissions decisions to applicants and provide guidance on next steps for accepted students, including enrollment procedures and deadlines. Additionally, the Counselor will analyze admission data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance the admissions process. Collaboration with other school staff members, including academic departments and financial aid offices, is essential to ensure a seamless admissions experience for applicants. Adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards in all admission practices is a key responsibility of the Admission Counselor. Required skills for this role include leadership qualities, accountability for achieving targets, a background in sales and marketing, ability to handle pressure, focus on implementing business development policies and procedures, professionalism, self-motivation, self-driven personality, teamwork, and good computer knowledge. Only female candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
