Job Description

We are seeking a results-oriented and empathetic Admission Counselor to join our telesales team. This dual-role position involves high-volume outbound and inbound calling to prospective students and their families to provide academic guidance and drive enrollments. The ideal candidate will combine strong sales skills with a genuine passion for education, effectively guiding students through the admissions process and helping them select programs that align with their career goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outreach and Lead Management: Make high-volume outbound calls to prospective students from provided databases and handle inbound inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
  • Academic Counseling: Provide detailed and accurate information about academic programs, courses, admission requirements, eligibility criteria, fee structures, and scholarship options.
  • Sales & Enrollment: Guide prospective students through the entire application and enrollment process, handling objections and price negotiations to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Relationship Building: Build rapport and maintain strong relationships with prospective students and parents, ensuring a positive experience from initial contact to successful enrollment.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all student interactions, follow-ups, and outcomes in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g., Salesforce, Leadsquared).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and academic teams to refine outreach strategies and ensure a smooth student onboarding process.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, educational programs, and competitor offerings to provide relevant and current information.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a degree in Education, Counseling, Business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Proven experience in telesales, tele-counseling, or a similar target-oriented customer service role, preferably within the education sector.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a bonus.
  • Sales Abilities: Strong negotiation, persuasion, and objection-handling skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Empathetic, patient, and professional demeanor with the ability to build rapport and remain calm under pressure or when facing rejection.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Personal Attributes: Goal-oriented, self-motivated, well-organized, and attentive to detail with strong time management skills.
