Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Admission Counselor will be responsible for guiding prospective parents and students through the admission process, providing accurate information about the schools curriculum, facilities, and admission policies. The role involves handling inquiries, conducting campus tours, maintaining admission records, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new students.

Key Responsibilities:

Enquiry Handling

  • Attend to walk-ins, phone calls, emails, and online inquiries regarding admissions.
  • Provide detailed and accurate information about academic programs, school facilities, fee structure, and admission criteria.
  • Follow up on leads and maintain a record of all inquiries.

Counseling & Conversion

  • Guide parents and students through the admission process.
  • Schedule and conduct counseling sessions, campus tours, and meetings with the principal or academic coordinators.
  • Ensure timely follow-up to convert inquiries into confirmed admissions.

Documentation & Coordination

  • Collect and verify admission documents as per school policy.
  • Coordinate with the accounts department for fee collection and receipts.
  • Maintain updated admission data and generate periodic reports.

Communication & Record Keeping

  • Maintain a database of prospective and admitted students.
  • Send admission updates, reminders, and correspondence to parents.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all student records.

Marketing & Outreach

  • Assist in organizing admission events, open houses, and school fairs.
  • Support marketing initiatives such as social media campaigns, school exhibitions, and community engagement activities.

Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate with academic and administrative teams to ensure a smooth onboarding of new students.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to process improvement for the admissions department.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree (preferably in Education, Psychology, Business Administration, or Communication).
  • Proven experience in admissions, counseling, or customer service (experience in the education sector preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-up abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data management software (CRM experience is a plus).
  • Positive attitude, empathy, and a student/parent-friendly approach.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, with flexibility to work during admission seasons or school events.
