Job Description (JD) for Academic & Administrative (IT Support)

Job Title: Academic & Administrative – IT SupportLocation: Nallasopara, MaharashtraSalary: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Academic & Administrative IT Support professional to assist the school’s Principal in both academic and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of IT hardware and software used in school environments and will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of IT systems that support teaching, learning, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:Academic Support

  • Assist the Principal and academic staff in integrating technology for classroom teaching.
  • Support the use of educational software and tools by teachers and students.
  • Help manage and troubleshoot online learning platforms and virtual classrooms.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to teachers and staff for effective use of IT resources.

Administrative Support

  • Manage day-to-day IT operations including hardware maintenance, software installations, and updates.
  • Troubleshoot network, printer, and other peripheral device issues.
  • Ensure proper functioning of school management software, attendance systems, and data backups.
  • Maintain records of IT assets and manage inventory.
  • Ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed to protect school data.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and communication tools using IT systems.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in IT hardware and software support, preferably in an educational environment.
  • Good understanding of school ERP systems, network administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to train and support non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, and backup procedures.
  • Proactive, responsible, and efficient in managing multiple tasks.

Preferred:

  • Experience with e-learning platforms, online examination tools, or content management systems.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with video conferencing tools and classroom technology.
