Job Title Adjunct Professor (Law) Location Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Required Number 1 Qualification A Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) from a recognized university. A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale) in the LL.M. degree. Teaching/ research experience of minimum 8 Years or teaching and industry experience of 15 years or more years , A good academic record, with a minimum score as per the stipulated standards of the Bar Council of India (BCI), along with the required minimum API (Academic Performance Indicator) and PBAS (Performance Based Appraisal System) scores. Should have experience in guiding doctoral candidates. Additionally, they must demonstrate significant contribution into education, innovation and curriculum design. Or An eminent scholar in law with published work of high quality demonstrating active engagement and interest in profession or industry and should have contributed significantly to the body of knowledge in law. Or A serving or retired Professor of Law or a Principle of Law College having demonstrated excellent academic and administrative capabilities and contributed significantly to the body of knowledge in law. Experience 20 years Job Description An Adjunct Professor (Law), possessing a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to developing and delivering high-quality content for assigned courses. The required qualifications shall be as per UGC/ BCI guidelines. Further, the individual should demonstrate a readiness to assume responsibility and embrace challenging opportunities, leveraging their knowledge and skills to the fullest extent. Responsibilities Deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars on assigned legal subjects, ensuring effective and engaging instruction. Develop, update, and implement course content and syllabi to reflect current legal trends and standards. Conduct scholarly research in various areas of law and contribute to academic publications. Provide mentorship and academic counseling to students, guiding them through their academic and career development. Supervise student projects, internships, and moot court activities, ensuring practical application of legal principles. Design and conduct student assessments, providing constructive feedback on their progress and performance. Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and contribute to the development of institutional policies and programs. Mentor and guide the junior faculty members. Develop and offer specialization courses of global relevance. To shoulder administrative and other responsibilities asked for from time to time.
