Acquiring Tester

Location: India/Chennai

Experience: 3–5 Years

Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end testing of merchant acquiring systems
• Validate POS transactions, chargebacks, settlements, and fee calculations
• Review and verify ISO 8583 messages for accuracy
• Conduct regression, functional, and UAT testing
• Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams
• Document test cases, scenarios, and defect logs
• Provide post-production support during rollouts

Requirements:

• 5+ years of testing experience in merchant acquiring or payments
• Good understanding of ISO 8583, POS transactions, and clearing/settlement flows
• Experience with POS simulators and acquiring test environments
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, and UAT testing
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, RestAssured)
• Knowledge of EMV, NFC, or contactless payments
• Familiarity with acquirer-hosted platforms or switch environments
• Experience in both issuer and acquirer testing (nice to have)
