Job Description

Department name : - Finance & Accounts

Unit : - Club (Imperial)

Job Objective

  • To manage and oversee all financial operations of the club, ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective budgetary control. The role supports strategic decision-making through financial insights and maintains fiscal discipline across club operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards and hotel chain policies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports for management review. Monitor club budgets, control costs, and ensure optimal utilization of financial resources
  • Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for timely completion of audits and resolution of audit-related issues. Ensure compliance with Direct & Indirect taxation regulations applicable to hospitality operations.

Customer

  • Ensure timely billing and collection of membership fees, event charges, and other receivables.
  • Address member queries related to billing and payments with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the front office and events team to streamline financial processes for member satisfaction.

Process

  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent financial irregularities.
  • Draft and update financial policies, controls, and procedures in alignment with hospitality standards.
  • Monitoring Daily banking operations, Cashflow management, Debtor & Creditor Reconcilation etc
  • Automate routine accounting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors. Conduct periodic reviews of financial systems and processes to identify risks and recommend improvements.

Capability

  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff to build a high-performing finance team
  • Stay updated with hospitality finance trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, ethical behavior, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct training sessions on internal controls and financial compliance for club staff.

Desired Profile: -

  • Graduate from a reputed university (Required) - Bachelors degree in commerce/accounting/finance
  • CA/ ICWA/ MBA (Preferred) - Specialization in Finance or Hospitality Accounting

Overall experience : -

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably in hospitality or club operations.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality revenue models, membership accounting, and event-based financial tracking.
  • Proficiency in Shawman & IDS
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic hospitality environment.
