Job Description

Key responsibilities of accounts manager:

1. Prepare and maintain financial statements (daily, monthly MIS, P&L, balance sheet).

2. Oversee cash management, including daily cash collection, POS settlements, and cash variance control.

3. Handle bank-related activities deposits, reconciliations, cheque management.

4. Verify supplier invoices and match with GRN, purchase orders, and pricing.

5. Manage vendor payments and track outstanding dues/credit periods.

6. Monitor inventory accounting — stock valuation, wastage, shrinkage, and adjustments.

7. Ensure statutory compliance such as GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and timely filings.

8. Coordinate and support audits - internal, statutory, stock audits.

9. Assist in budgeting and cost control across all stores.

10. Monitor pricing, margins, discounts, and vendor-funded promotions.

11. Oversee ERP/accounting system accuracy, including data entry and master data control.

12. Lead and guide the accounts team, ensuring reporting accuracy and SOP compliance.
