Job Title : AccountsHead

Location: Hyderabad, Jubilee Hills

Experience:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Accounts to lead the accounting team and manage the financial operations of our construction company. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in accounting within the construction industry, and possess expertise in internal and external auditing, financial reporting, and the preparation of balance sheets and P&L accounts.

This role requires a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Management Accountant (CMA), or an ICWA with advanced knowledge of accounting systems such as Tally, along with a deep understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards relevant to the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting:

oOversee and manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss accounts.

oEnsure that all accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

oManage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.

Internal & External Audits:

oLead and manage the internal audit function to ensure compliance with financial controls, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

oCoordinate external audits, working closely with auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process and resolve any audit queries.

Taxation & Compliance:

oEnsure timely and accurate filing of all tax-related returns, including GST, TDS, and other indirect taxes.

oStay updated on the latest tax regulations and ensure the company's compliance with all statutory requirements.

Cost Management & Budgeting:

oOversee the preparation and monitoring of budgets for construction projects.

oImplement cost control measures to optimize profitability and manage expenses.

oAnalyze variances between budgeted and actual costs, providing recommendations for corrective actions.

Skills & Qualifications:

Educational Qualifications:

Experience:

oMinimum 13 to 18 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, specifically in the construction industry.

Technical Skills:

oStrong expertise in financial accounting, internal and external auditing, and financial reporting.

oAdvanced knowledge of accounting software, particularly Tally.

oExpertise in preparing balance sheets, P&L accounts, and managing financial statements.

oSound understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and construction industry-specific financial requirements.
