Accounts Head

The Accounts Head (India) is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, reporting, and financial controls for Shaip.AI. This role ensures accuracy in books of accounts, compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), GST, TDS, and labor law regulations. The position supports the Accounts to maintain financial discipline, reporting accuracy, and alignment between India and global entities.

Required Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.

A minimum of 8 years of finance and accounting experience.

At least 3-4 years of experience at a leadership level, preferably as a Manager/Finance Controller or similar position.

Expertise in Indian accounting and taxation, including GST and income tax.

Knowledge of STPI compliance requirements.

Strong understanding of US accounting practices.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Required Experience

Proven experience in end-to-end accounting management

Experience in IT/ITES, BPO/KPO, or SaaS-based businesses preferred. Strong understanding of tax, payroll, and compliance norms.

Exposure to process automation, digital accounting tools, and ERP implementation.

Prior experience in leading teams, mentoring accountants, and managing cross-border reporting.
