Accounts & Finance Head

Role Overview

The Accounts & Finance Head will lead the entire finance function for all group entities, ensuring strong financial controls, timely reporting, statutory compliance, and strategic financial planning. The role requires multi-vertical expertise across renewable energy projects, service-based manpower businesses, and equipment trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Strategy

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with group growth plans.
• Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans for each company.
• Conduct profitability analysis for projects, service contracts, and trading operations.
• Advise management on investments, cost optimization, pricing, and cash-flow strategies

Accounts Management

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements for each entity.
• Implement standard accounting practices across group companies.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, purchase accounting, payroll accounting, and fixed asset records.
• Monitor project-wise accounting for solar EPC and O&M contracts.
• Ensure correct labour billing and statutory deductions for security services operations.

Statutory Compliance & Audits

• Ensure compliance with:
• GST (monthly, quarterly, annual return filings)
• TDS & Income Tax
• PF, ESI, PT for manpower business
• ROC & Companies Act compliance for all entities
• Manage internal, statutory, and tax audits.
• Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government departments.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Monitor daily cash flows and working capital requirements.
• Maintain banking relationships and manage loan facilities, CC limits, BGs, LC limits etc.
• Oversee fund allocation between group companies.
• Evaluate funding requirements for solar projects and machinery procurement.

Project & Operational Finance

• Solar EPC: Evaluate project costs, vendor payments, milestone billings, project profitability.
• Solar O&M: Track AMC revenue, invoicing cycles, and contract profitability.
• Security Services: Manage deployment costs, wage sheets, ESIC/PF compliance, and customer billing cycles.
• Trading Division: Manage inventory, import documentation (if applicable), pricing margins, and debtor recovery.

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS for management:
• Sales & collection summary
• Project profitability
• Cash flow position
• Outstanding creditors & debtors statement
• Budget vs Actual analysis
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a multi-company accounts team.
• Build SOPs, workflows, and financial discipline across all units.
• Coordinate with operations, HR, procurement, and project teams.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and corporate compliance.
• Expertise in multi-vertical finance (projects + services + trading).
• Advanced skills in Excel, Tally/ERP systems, MIS reporting.
• Ability to handle high-volume transactions (in security business).
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience in working with banks for credit facilities and project financing.

Qualifications

MBA / Inter- CA / CA with 8-15 years of experience.
