Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Issuance of Purchase Orders:

    • Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) in accordance with business requirements and vendor agreements.
    • Ensure that all details on POs are accurate, including quantities, prices, terms, and delivery dates.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely processing and delivery of goods and services.

Invoice Raising:

    • Prepare and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary details are included (e.g., PO number, correct GST rates, and payment terms).
    • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely collections.
    • Reconcile sales and purchase invoices to ensure accuracy in financial records.

Online Payments:

    • Process online payments to vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
    • Ensure all payment transactions are processed in compliance with the companys financial policies.
    • Maintain records of payments and ensure that payments are made within the agreed-upon terms.

GST Return Preparation and Filing:

    • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
    • Ensure accurate reporting of sales, purchases, and tax liabilities in compliance with GST laws.
    • Reconcile GST data from invoices and payment records to ensure correct filings.
    • Handle GST-related queries and correspondence with tax authorities as needed.

TDS Return Preparation and Filing:

    • Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) in accordance with statutory requirements.
    • Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q/26Q, etc.).
    • Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16/16A) to vendors and employees.
    • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with TDS provisions and coordinate with tax authorities for any clarifications.

Financial Recordkeeping:

    • Maintain and update accounting records for purchases, payments, sales, and other financial transactions.
    • Ensure that all financial records are organized and accessible for internal audits and tax filing purposes.

Tax and Compliance Support:

    • Assist in tax-related queries and ensure that all tax payments, including TDS and GST, are made on time.
    • Assist in the preparation of documents and reports for internal audits, statutory audits, and tax assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards.

Preferred candidate profile's

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification in GST or TDS compliance is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and accounts, specifically in handling purchase orders, invoicing, GST returns, and TDS.
  • Proficient in Tally and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of GST laws, TDS provisions, and tax filing procedures.
  • Familiarity with online payment systems and banking platforms.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
