Job Description

As an Accounts Assistant at Varthagam International, you will be an integral part of our finance team, assisting in maintaining accurate records and executing day-to-day accounting operations. Your role will involve working closely with the senior accountant to ensure the smooth functioning of financial tasks and producing precise reports. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to collaborate within a team will be vital for success in this position. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with day-to-day accounting entries, invoice recording, and ledger maintenance - Prepare reports and summaries as instructed by the senior accounts team - Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers - Support GST, TDS, and tax document preparation and filing - Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions - Coordinate with internal departments for finance-related updates Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Commerce or related field - Basic understanding of accounting concepts and tax compliance - Familiarity with accounting tools (Tally preferred) and MS Excel - Team-oriented, disciplined, and proactive in completing tasks - Strong analytical and organizational skills - Willingness to learn and grow with the company In addition to the challenging role, we offer a collaborative work environment with mentorship and training, exposure to apparel industry-specific accounting practices, opportunities for career growth within the organization, and a competitive salary based on skills and performance.
