We are seeking a skilled & proactive DevOps Engineer to manage our AWS IoT infrastructure, servers, & cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS IoT services, infrastructure automation, server management, & cost control. The company now plans to expand into Consumer electronics & automotive electronics & is looking for industry leaders to join it in the journey of making it a mainstream vertical.Role & responsibilities1. AWS IoT Management:• Design, deploy & manage AWS IoT Core services & associated components.• Develop & maintain IoT device management policies, secure communication protocols, & data pipelines.• Monitor & troubleshoot IoT device connectivity & performance issues.2. Infrastructure Automation:• Automate deployment pipelines for IoT services & infrastructure updates.• Ensure seamless integration of IoT services with other AWS components.3. Server Management:• Oversee the setup, configuration, & maintenance of AWS EC2 instances, containers, & other compute resources.• Manage server scaling, patching, & security to ensure optimal performance & availability.• Monitor logs & system metrics for performance, security, & operational efficiency4. Cost Optimization:• Analyze AWS usage & billing reports to identify cost-saving opportunities.• Implement cost-control strategies, including resource rightsizing, reserved instances, & autoscaling.• Regularly audit resources to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.5. Security & Compliance:• Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, & secure communication for IoT devices.• Conduct periodic security assessments to ensure compliance with organizational & regulatory standards.6. Collaboration & Support:• Work closely with development, QA, & operations teams to align infrastructure with application needs.• Provide guidance & support during incident resolution & root cause analysis.• Document system configurations, processes, & best practices for team knowledge sharing.Required Skills & Qualifications:• 3+ years of experience in DevOps roles with a focus on AWS.• Proven expertise in managing AWS IoT Core & associated services.• Strong experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, or CDK.• Hands on experience with AWS cost management & optimization techniques.• Able to analyse Cloud Watch logsTechnical Skills:• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems & scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker & orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS preferred).• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS Code Pipeline.• Strong undersetting of networking concepts, DNS, VPCs, & firewalls in AWS.Soft Skills:• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.• Excellent communication & collaboration skills.• Ability to work independently & manage multiple priorities effectively.Preferred Qualifications:• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.• Experience with AWS Billing & Cost Management tools.• Knowledge of MQTT protocols, IoT device firmware, or edge computing frameworks.
