Role Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and overseeing inventory-related accounting. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Tally software, have a strong understanding of GST, TDS, and PT, and be capable of handling financial reconciliations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Record and maintain financial transactions accurately using Tally.- Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including invoicing, billing, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.- Ensure GST compliance and assist in the timely filing of returns.- Oversee inventory management, track stock levels, and generate relevant reports.- Reconcile financial discrepancies and address inventory-related issues promptly.- Ensure accurate calculation and filing of TDS, PT, and GST returns.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data.- Assist in internal audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity.- Stay updated on tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.- Apply accounting principles to analyze financial data and provide insights.- Handle import documentation, purchase orders (PO), and work orders.- Prepare monthly MIS reports, close financial books, and maintain the balance sheet.

Key Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- 2-5 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and inventory management.- Proficiency in Tally software for accounting and inventory purposes.- Strong knowledge of TDS, and GST regulations, and experience in return filing.- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and auditing practices.- Effective communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.- Ability to work under supervision and meet tight deadlines.- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting tools.- Prior experience in a similar role involving inventory management is preferred.
