Accountant

As an Accountant at Turnkey Construction, Interior, and Renovation Firm with GST & Tax Knowledge, your role involves preparing and analyzing project-based financial statements like job cost reports, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. You will conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings to ensure compliance with industry and tax standards. It is essential to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of GST rates, exemptions, and compliance requirements relevant to the construction sector, including GST invoicing, e-Way bill generation, and documentation for input tax credit claims. Your key responsibilities will include: - Tracking project costs, budget variances, and profitability to provide financial analysis and reports for management decision-making. - Maintaining and enhancing internal controls over assets, inventory, and financial processes. - Collaborating with project managers, procurement teams, subcontractors, auditors, and tax consultants. - Utilizing construction accounting software and advanced Excel skills for efficient financial management. - Ensuring confidentiality and security of all financial and project-related information. - Staying updated on changes in GST, tax laws, and accounting standards relevant to the construction and real estate industry. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree (Preferred) in Accounting with a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting. You should have a strong understanding of GST applicability, rates, exemptions, and compliance requirements specific to construction, interior, and renovation projects, as well as general tax knowledge for accurate filings and regulatory adherence.
