Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Record and maintain

    daily site expenses

    ,

    vendor bills

    , and

    petty cash

    across all projects.
  • Manage

    accounts payable / receivable

    , track due payments, and update weekly cash-flow reports.
  • Support the

    Project Planning & Cost Control Manager

    in preparing monthly cost summaries and variance analysis.
  • Maintain

    project-wise expense registers

    , GST invoices.
  • Assist in preparing

    management reports

    project profitability, outstanding vendors, advance utilization.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Receive material requests from site engineers and validate with approved BOQ quantities.
  • Obtain quotations, negotiate rates, and prepare

    purchase orders

    for management approval.
  • Maintain

    vendor database

    , track deliveries, and ensure material receipts match POs.
  • Verify supplier bills against delivery challans and approve for payment.
  • Maintain

    purchase register

    and ensure cost alignment with budget.
  • Handle vendor communication, payment follow-ups, and issue resolution.

Reporting & Systems

  • Update

    Project Management software

    for daily expense, purchase, and payment status.
  • Support integration of accounting data with

    Project Management software

    site updates.
  • Generate

    weekly procurement summary

    and

    cash-flow snapshot

    for management review.
  • File and organize all supporting documents digitally on Zoho WorkDrive

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • B.Com / M.Com / Diploma in Civil or Accounting

    background.
  • 25 years’ experience in

    construction / contractor accounting & procurement

    .
  • Proficiency in

    Excel

  • Knowledge of

    GST, vendor billing, petty cash control, and BOQ-based costing.

  • Strong attention to detail, negotiation skills, and accountability in documentation.
