Account Executive

Job Title: Accounts Executive
Location: Chennai, Choolai
Industry: Freight Forwarding & CHA (Customs House Agent)
Experience: 2–5 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations including billing, invoicing, and receipts.
• Record and reconcile all financial transactions related to freight forwarding and CHA activities.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable/payable, TDS, GST, and other statutory compliance.
• Prepare and submit MIS reports, aging reports, and monthly reconciliation statements.
• Coordinate with operations and documentation teams for accurate costing and billing.
• Assist in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory regulations.
• Follow up with clients and vendors for payments and outstanding balances.
• Manage documentation related to bank transactions, LC handling, and foreign remittances.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field (B.Com, M.Com, or CA Inter preferred).
• 2–5 years of accounting experience in freight forwarding/CHA/logistics industry is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software.
• Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and other applicable Indian taxation.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and clients.

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with international freight billing, documentation charges, and port/CHA-related expenses.
• Experience handling export/import accounts and bank documentation.

Salary: As per industry standards
Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Head
