Account Department

As an Account Assistant in the Account Department at Foundation, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial analysis and support. Your key responsibilities will include: Record Keeping: - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. - Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts. - Maintaining general ledgers and sub-ledgers. Financial Reporting: - Preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. - Analyzing financial data to identify trends and potential issues. - Preparing reports for management and stakeholders. Compliance: - Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. - Preparing and filing tax returns. - Maintaining proper documentation and records. Budgeting and Forecasting: - Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. - Monitoring actual performance against budget. - Following up on outstanding invoices. Other Duties: - Assisting with audits. - Providing support to other departments on financial matters. - Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies. - Maintaining confidentiality of financial data. - Backing up databases when necessary.
