Job Description

An Academic Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of academic programs, ensuring curriculum alignment with educational standards, providing administrative and academic support to faculty and students, and facilitating student success. Key responsibilities include curriculum development, scheduling, faculty support, student guidance, program evaluation, and communication with stakeholders to maintain high academic standards and a positive learning environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Curriculum and Program Management: Develop, implement, and update educational programs and curricula to meet institutional and regulatory standards.
  • Faculty and Staff Support: Provide administrative support, guidance, and resources to faculty, including assistance with course planning, new faculty orientation, and training.
  • Student Support: Guide students on academic goals, course selection, study habits, and career development, also handling student inquiries and resolving academic issues.
  • Administrative Coordination: Manage daily academic operations such as student registration, assessments, timetable creation, and record-keeping.
  • Program Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate academic programs, teaching quality, and student achievement to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communication & Liaising: Serve as a central point of contact, fostering effective communication between faculty, students, administrators, and external educational bodies or clinical facilities.
  • Event & Workshop Organization: Organize and facilitate academic events, workshops, and other study programs to enhance student learning experiences.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to exercise sound judgment and creativity in evaluating information and making decisions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in educational technologies, including learning management systems and other relevant applications.
