Position: Academic Coordinator (Grades 1–8)

Location: Kothari International School, Panvel

Job Overview

The Academic Coordinator will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and monitoring academic programs for Grades 1–8. The role involves guiding teachers, ensuring curriculum alignment with school standards, and fostering a dynamic learning environment that promotes student engagement, creativity, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee curriculum planning, execution, and review across Grades 1–8.
  • Coordinate between teachers, subject heads, and the school leadership to ensure smooth academic functioning.
  • Support teachers in designing effective lesson plans and assessments aligned with the school’s learning outcomes.
  • Monitor classroom teaching and learning processes to maintain high academic standards.
  • Plan and implement academic enrichment programs, assessments, and co-curricular integration.
  • Conduct regular academic audits and prepare reports on student progress and performance.
  • Mentor and support teachers through classroom observations, feedback sessions, and professional development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with parents and communicate effectively regarding academic matters and student progress.
  • Ensure timely completion of syllabus, documentation, and examination schedules.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement among staff and students.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Education or relevant field.
  • B.Ed. mandatory.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience in Grades 1–8, with at least 2–3 years in an academic leadership or coordination role.
  • Strong knowledge of modern pedagogical practices and curriculum frameworks (CBSE/International boards preferred).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools for academic planning and reporting.
