Job Description

Ab Initio Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

ETL Design & Development

Build and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment).
Develop reusable components and frameworks for batch and real-time data processing.

Data Integration & Migration

Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
Support data migration projects, including legacy system transitions and cloud onboarding.

Performance Optimization

Tune Ab Initio graphs for efficiency and scalability.
Troubleshoot performance issues and implement enhancements.

Collaboration & Consulting

Work with business analysts and data architects to understand requirements.
Participate in solution design, proof-of-concept workshops, and client demos.

Documentation & Compliance

Create and maintain technical documentation including HLDs and LLDs.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.

Support & Maintenance

Provide post-deployment support and resolve production issues.
Monitor job execution and maintain operational stability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
3–9 years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio development2.
Strong knowledge of DBMS concepts, SQL, and PL/SQL.
Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., ESP, Control-M) and Unix/Linux scripting.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS S3) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Experience with Snowflake or other modern data platforms is advantageous
