Job Description

Backend Developer (Python Lead)

Role Summary
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that process and expose energy data to customers and internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask.
Implement serverless compute functions and Azure Functions for event-driven processing.
Integrate APIs with Azure storage services (ADLS Gen2, Cosmos DB) and messaging systems.
Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
Contribute to GraphQL APIs for flexible data access.
Monitor and optimize API performance, including caching strategies.
Work closely with frontend developers and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling.

Skills and Technologies
Python, FastAPI, Flask, REST APIs, Azure Functions, Azure SDKs, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.

Experience and Qualifications

9 to 12 years of Python backend development experience, including cloud-based architectures.
Proven knowledge of Azure PaaS services and serverless patterns.
Familiarity with secure API development practices.
