Job Title: Junior Rigging Artist (Contract) Location: Hybrid / Remote Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (Duration: e.g., 6 months, with potential extension based on project) About the Role: We are looking for a Junior Rigging Artist to join our production team on a contract basis. As part of the character/creature rigging pipeline, you will work closely with senior riggers, animators, and modelers to build and maintain high-quality rigs that support both realistic and stylized animation for in-game use. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging rigging artist to gain production experience in a professional game development environment. What Youll Be Doing Create and maintain rigs for characters, creatures, and props so theyre animation- ready Handle skin weighting and ensure meshes deform naturally and efficiently Work closely with animators to troubleshoot any rigging issues and make quick fixes when needed Collaborate with our 3D artists so that rigs are built with models in mind (and vice versa) Prepare assets for export and make sure rigs perform well inside the game engine What Were Looking For Understanding of rigging in Maya (or similar 3D tool) basics like joints, controllers, and constraints Experience with skinning/weight painting Able to take initiative and problem-solve when technical challenges pop up .Excited to collaborate with animators and artists in a small-team environment Good communication skills and openness to feedback.
