Job Description

As a Workday Software Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Test Planning and Strategy: - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies tailored to Workday modules and integrations. - Identify testing scope and priorities based on project requirements. - Test Case Development: - Create, review, and maintain detailed test cases and scripts for functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing. - Document edge cases and complex business scenarios. - Functional Testing: - Validate Workday configurations, including business processes, security roles, workflows, and custom reports. - Validate any other HRMS product configurations, including business processes, security roles, workflows, and custom reports. - Integration Testing: - Verify data flows and ensure the accuracy of API and file-based integrations. - Automation Testing: - Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools like Kainos Smart or Worksoft Certify. - Develop and execute automated test scripts using open source / commercially available tools to the extent of developing frameworks (keyword /data driven / hybrid). - Maintain and optimize regression test suites for continuous testing. - Defect Management: - Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. - Work closely with developers and consultants to resolve issues and validate fixes. - UAT Support: - Partner with business users to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing guidance and capturing feedback. - Ensure end-to-end business process validations align with organizational goals. - Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with Development organization, and Workday consultants to understand requirements and configurations. - Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders. - Post-Deployment Testing: - Conduct smoke and sanity testing post-deployment to ensure system stability in production. - Monitor system performance and provide ongoing quality assurance. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Requirements: - 2-5 years of experience in Workday testing or ERP/HRIS testing. - Familiarity with Workday tools, including Workday Studio and EIB testing. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., TestRail, ALM, JIRA). - Experience with test automation tools like Kainos Smart, Worksoft Certify, or Java/Selenium. - Strong knowledge of data validation, SQL, and integration testing methodologies. - Familiarity with APIs, XML, and data transformation processes. Soft Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. - Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
