Workday Prism Data Specialist

You will be responsible for conducting Data Discovery & Profiling by analyzing and profiling flat files exported from Preceda. Your tasks will include identifying data quality issues such as gaps, duplicates, and inconsistent formatting. Additionally, you will be expected to build a comprehensive data inventory and data dictionary. Field Mapping & Documentation will be a crucial part of your role, where you will map Preceda source fields to Workday Prism datasets. It will be essential to maintain version-controlled documentation and transformation rules to ensure accuracy and consistency. Data Transformation & Preparation will require you to cleanse, normalize, and format historical flat file data with a multi-year scope. Automation of repeatable transformation pipelines using Python, SQL, Excel, or Alteryx will be necessary for efficiency and accuracy. In terms of Workday Prism Integration, you will assist with the configuration of Prism staging datasets. Your responsibilities will also include defining relationships, dataset keys, and access/security parameters. You will be supporting ingestion, validation, and troubleshooting with internal Workday teams. Validation & Reconciliation will be a key aspect of your role, involving reconciling Prism datasets against Preceda reports. Building audit and reconciliation reports to ensure completeness and integrity will be part of your responsibilities. Your role will also involve ensuring Reporting & Compliance Readiness by aligning with ATO STP Phase 2, record-keeping laws, and audit needs. Documenting processes and outputs to meet internal and external audit standards will be essential. Governance & Documentation will be crucial, where you will apply data privacy best practices and ensure adherence to organizational data retention and governance policies. Preparing clear handover documentation for internal teams post-project will also be part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-8 years of experience in data transformation, migration, or integration. Strong hands-on experience with flat files (CSV, TXT, Excel) and ETL processes is mandatory. Proficiency in SQL (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery), Python (Pandas), Excel (PowerQuery), and/or Alteryx is required. Desirable skills include experience with Workday Prism Analytics or proficiency with comparable data platforms such as Tableau Data Prep, SAP Data Services, Power BI Dataflows, or Snowflake. Exposure to building dashboards or reports in Workday Prism or similar BI tools is an advantage. Success in this role will be measured by meeting project milestones and quality gates on time and within budget. Delivering audit-ready datasets and documentation in line with Australian standards and completing effective knowledge transfer and process handover to internal teams will be key success criteria.,
