Wordpress Designer

You will be responsible for designing and developing visually engaging website layouts and design elements that align with business goals and branding. Your hands-on experience with WordPress will be crucial in creating responsive designs that work seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes. Additionally, you will design and optimize graphics, images, and multimedia content for web use. In terms of technical implementation, you will work with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress and Canva to build and manage websites. It will be essential to ensure that websites are SEO-friendly and optimized for performance and load times. A strong knowledge of digital marketing will also be beneficial in this role. You will be in charge of quality assurance, testing, and troubleshooting website issues across different browsers and devices. Maintaining and updating websites as necessary, including performing regular backups and updates, will also fall under your responsibilities. Ensuring adherence to web standards, accessibility guidelines, and best practices is key. Collaboration with developers, marketers, and other stakeholders will be necessary to ensure cohesive project delivery. Providing input on project timelines and effectively managing design-related tasks will be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have proven experience as a Website (WordPress) Designer or in a similar role. A strong portfolio that demonstrates design skills and experience with web design projects is required. Proficiency in design tools such as WordPress, Photoshop, Canva, and Figma is essential. Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is also expected. Experience with responsive design principles and mobile-first design is a plus. Strong attention to detail, the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Preferred skills include experience with WordPress designing principles and user-centered design, as well as knowledge of SEO best practices and web performance optimization techniques.
