As a Senior Systems Engineer at CGI, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows servers, VMware virtual machines, and hardware resources. With over 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems. Your primary tasks will include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server Operating Systems. You will also be responsible for adding and removing server features and roles such as Terminal servers, DNS, and DHCP. Utilizing tools like Performance Monitor, Event Viewer, and Task Manager, you will diagnose and resolve system issues effectively. In the realm of VMware, you will create virtual machines, perform cloning, manage snapshots, and adjust hardware resources on Guest OS as necessary. Your proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting RAID setups, both software and hardware, will be essential for maintaining system integrity. Collaborating with the team, you will assist in evaluating and deploying new software and hardware solutions. Additionally, providing technical support to end-users and ensuring data backups and recovery processes are functioning optimally will be part of your daily responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must exhibit proven experience in delivering process efficiencies and improvements. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for building effective relationships with remote teams.
