Role & responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Assess the quality of Windchill software through manual and automated testing.
• Develop, document, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on functional specifications and requirements.
• Work with SE team to develop right tests cases that ensures overall test coverage for a user story.
• To work with POs & BA to review test cases and discuss the functional specifications of the User stories.
• Identify, report, and track bugs, glitches, and system defects using issue tracking tools.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements, discuss defects, and define acceptance criteria.
• Validate functionality, performance, workflows, and integrations within Windchill PLM modules.
• Ensure thorough **regression and functional testing** for all releases and hotfixes.
• Review technical documentation to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
• Continually contribute to improving testing processes, techniques, and documentation efficiency.

Competencies:

• Proven expertise in validating large data sets, reconciliation, and migration processes.
• Familiarity with PLM migration tools, methodologies, and Windchill architecture.
• Solid understanding of data migration processes, including ETL, transformation, and validation.
• Experience with issue tracking and test management tools (such as JIRA, ALM, etc.).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working with SQL/database queries for data validation.
• Exposure to scripting languages (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation.
• Good understanding of product data management, engineering processes, and PLM workflows.
• Knowledge of **issue tracking systems** (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
• Good understanding of the **SDLC** and defect lifecycle
• Experience in manual testing & exposure to automated testing frameworks.
