Whole School Additional Education Needs Coordinator

You are an experienced Whole School AEN Coordinator responsible for designing and delivering interventions for students, implementing school strategy, and collaborating with staff at all levels. You will consult with Key Stage Leads, form tutors, mainstream teachers, parents, the Head of AIM, and Principals to develop AEN opportunities across the school. Your focus will be on embedding AEN into teaching to support students with additional educational needs. Your role involves empowering teachers with differentiated strategies, providing effective assessment, and sharing feedback with students and parents. You will create individualized learning opportunities, assist students in applying concepts through differentiated instruction, and presentations. Collaborating with the SLT and senior colleagues, you will use your leadership skills to manage the AEN provision and support other AEN staff. The ideal candidate is a qualified SEND teacher with a teaching qualification/degree, preferably a Master's degree, and experience working with students with learning difficulties in a mainstream classroom. You should be proficient in reading and interpreting psycho-educational reports and possess strong communication skills for interactions with parents and teachers. A minimum of 10 years teaching experience and 5 years managing SEND/AEN provision in a leading international school is required.
