Description
As an Application Support Engineer for Werum PAS-X MES, your role involves being an expert in PAS-X system administration and configuration, with a particular focus on versions 3.1.8, 3.2.1, and 3.30. You will need to have a good technical architecture experience in PAS-X, including understanding of application and web server, database architecture, interfaces, and server log analysis. Your key responsibilities will include: - Supporting MES integration with Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 systems. - Creating SQL scripts and understanding DB schema for database expertise. - Troubleshooting PAS-X related technical issues such as scale integration and printer/scanner problems. - Performing IT configuration, Patch & Hot fix installations for application customizations. - Supporting 24x7 operation and handling operational and project-related assignments. - Delivering on complex project requirements and tasks. - Applying ITIL concepts like Incident management, Problem management, Change Management, and Service request Management. - Creating and maintaining System life cycle documentation including Configuration specification, Traceability Matrix, Risk & impact assessments, Qualification test scripts, and change controls. - Designing, developing, and deploying workarounds to resume production activities. - Collaborating closely with users to troubleshoot issues and enhance business processes within MES. - Participating in periodic review activities like user access review, Incident & problem review, and CR review. - Providing support in incidents and resolving manufacturing user-reported incidents in MES by analyzing/debugging business cases. - Collecting and analyzing user requirements for application enhancements. - Handling application qualification and user acceptance test (UAT) of new applications. - Participating in the design or development of applications by working closely with other application teams, equipment suppliers, and external software providers. - Providing training and instructions to users and trainers on system functionalities and use. - Troubleshooting defects resolution during the qualification. - Offering hypercare support for post go-live issues. Moreover, your knowledge areas should cover end-to-end implementation experience of Werum PAS-X, MES Systems, Linux OS, Windows, PL/SQL, Java, XML, JavaScript, HTML, Web Services, PHP, ISA95/S88 standards, and practical use of these standards in application design. You should also have a good understanding of ITIL concepts and Werum PAS-X Specification, Execution, Compliance & Performance Module. Additionally, you must demonstrate a primary focus on meeting both internal and external customer needs, work independently to achieve results, and continuously seek self-improvement. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring and building a team, client liaisoning, and showcasing technology competency to prospect customers. You are expected to develop delivery accelerators, consulting templates, and artifacts, collaborate with other domain-centric centers of excellence for solution-based offerings, and apply Agile Project Management principles. In terms of IT skills, you should be proficient in Oracle DB, SQL queries, C-Sharp, Java, XML interfaces, UA, DA, HDA connectors, user management, and system profile creations. Overall, as an Application Support Engineer for Werum PAS-X MES, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the MES system while providing support to users and enhancing business processes.,
