Job Description* Support Logistics, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of logistics operations. This includes planning, coordinating, and monitoring the movement of goods and materials, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics operations. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing logistics strategies, managing relationships with logistics service providers, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Principal Accountabilities* 1. Yard Operations & Inventory Management Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of Ductile Iron Pipes for export. Ensure proper stacking, tagging, and inventory control to minimize damages and losses. Implement best practices for material handling to optimize yard space and improve efficiency. 2. Export Logistics & Documentation Coordinate with the export team, shipping lines, and transporters for smooth dispatch planning. Ensure timely loading and movement of export consignments as per customer requirements. Verify export documentation (packing lists, invoices, shipping instructions) for accuracy and compliance. 3. Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to international export regulations, quality norms, and environmental guidelines. Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with company safety policies. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks in yard operations. 4. Coordination & Stakeholder Management Liaise with production, sales, logistics, and customs authorities for seamless export operations. Address operational challenges, including delays, damages, or transportation issues. Manage third-party service providers (transporters, handling agencies, etc.) to ensure SLAs are met. 5. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in yard management and logistics. Optimize loading/unloading processes to reduce turnaround time.
