1) Having good welding experience in FCAW welding process of minimum 4 to 6 years.
2) Should possess the basic knowledge of material to be welded and knowledge on material
content like SS, MS, carbon content etc.
3) Has knowledge of a wide range of welding equipment and its usage. Performing routine
maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
4) Able to follow written and oral instructions from follow directions from group leaders and
supervisors. Understanding in blue print reading/ weld symbols to accurately build products to
specified tolerances. Plan sequence of operations. Knowledge of Setting welding machines and
its parameters to complete the Job. Elementary knowledge of the working of welding
equipment. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, principles and standards like ASME, IBR, API,
ASNT etc. involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models"
5) Knowledge of the machines used in the manufacturing of the products. Knowledge of the lead
time for various machines. Basic knowledge of the assembly lead times like hydro assembly etc.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes flow. Perform tack welding. Plan sequence of
operations. Reduce of Rejection of Products. Able to relate the kind of tools and equipment
needed to do a job.
6) Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing & knowledge of 5S, 6Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban & ISO
procedures
7) A firm knowledge of welding safety and optimum usage of machine, material and man-hours
required. Wear and maintain personal protective equipment.
8) NDT techniques such as DPT performing knowledge
9) Completes the task in hand in time. Demonstrates the ability to multi-task. Develops and
implements efficient work plans. Meets expectations set.
10) WPS/PQR/WPQ reading and understanding.
11) Should strive for achieving on time delivery
